Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur is one of the twenty National Institutes of Technology established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It was formerly known as 'Malaviya Regional Engineering College' and was established in 1963 as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan. The College was named Malaviya Regional Engineering College as a tribute to the vision and ideals of the renowned national leader and educationist, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. The College functioned from its temporary campus in Pilani until 1965 when it was shifted to its present campus in Jaipur. The founder Principal of this institution was Prof. V.G. Garde in whose dynamic supervision the College paved the way to be the foremost engineering institutes in the country. The Institute was assigned the status of National Institute of Technology and Deemed University on June 26, 2002. The Institute has now acquired the status of an autonomous Institute fully funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. The Institute has been selected as a centre for the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program sponsored by the World Bank in collaboration with the Government of India. The semester scheme is followed for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The campus is spread over an area of over 312 acres. All the states and union territories of the country are represented in the undergraduate intake of the Institute(50% from rajasthan & the other 50% from all states & union territories of India). Courses specific to management, communication techniques and computer-aided design and programming have been introduced to keep pace with changing times. Curriculum workshops are being organized for upgrading Undergraduate and Postgraduate schemes. The Institute also offers Postgraduate specializations in Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Power Systems, Electronics and Communication Engineering, VSLI Design, Energy Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Industrial Metallurgy, Structural Engineering, M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, M. Planning (Urban Planning) and Master of Business Administration, Doctoral programs are also offered in all these areas including Humanities and Social Sciences.

Malaviya National Institute of Technology is going to release the Annual Exam Undergraduate and Postgraduate 1st, 2nd, 3rd Year Admit Card 2019. Those applicants who are going to appear in the exam may download admit card via the Official Website Portal. Students should do full preparation before attending the exam. MNIT Jaipur M.Sc. and MBA Admission 2019
At the PG level, the university also offers Master of Science (M.Sc.) in various disciplines and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree to the aspiring students.
For admission to the MBA program, Students must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Science/ Commerce/ Economics/ Business Administration/ Architecture/ Pharmacy/ Agricultural/ Computer Applications or Master degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Economics while scoring minimum CGPA of 6.5 on the 10 point scale (60% marks, only where CGPA is not awarded) with a relaxation for SC/ST implying minimum of 6.0 on the 10 point scale (55% marks, only where CGPA is not awarded). For M.Sc., Student must pass in Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
To be eligible to participate in the selection procedure, apart from fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria for admission to MBA program, the applicant should have appeared in any of the following management admission tests: CAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ MAT followed by GD/PI.
In case Student has appeared in more than one of the above admission tests, ONLY one of the scores is admissible.
For admission in the M.Sc. program, Students need to sit for IIT JAM 2019. Students with valid IIT JAM 2019 score are eligible to participate in Centralized Counselling for admission into M.Sc. programs (CCMN).
MNIT Jaipur B.Tech and B.Arch Admission 2019
Malaviya National Institute offers four-year undergraduate courses of study leading to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree and a five-year undergraduate course leading to the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree at undergraduate level. The B.Tech program is provided with seven different specializations. The intake capacity for the B.Tech specialization courses is approximately 92-93 seats and the B.Arch program comprises of 62 seats.
In order to get admission to the above mentioned programs, Students need to pass 12th (10+2) level or equivalent examination with at least 75% marks (For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in 12th (10+2) level).
Admission to B.Tech and B.Arch is done on the basis of JEE Main 2019 followed by CSAB counseling.
MNIT Jaipur M.Tech and M.Plan Admission 2019
At the postgraduate level, MNIT offers Postgraduate programs that award Master of Technology (M.Tech) in various disciplines and Master of Urban Planning (M.Plan) degree to the aspirants. Both of the courses are offered for a duration period of two years.
To be considered eligible in M.Tech, the Students should have passed BE/ B.Tech or M.Sc. in relevant specializations and must have secured at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST/PwD Students. For M.Plan, Student must have passed B.Arch, B.Plan, Bachelor in Town Planning, Bachelor in Transportation Planning, Bachelor in Urban Planning, Bachelor in Town & Country Planning, BE/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology to be considered eligible.
Admission to M.Plan and M.Tech is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination, work experience and Interview/Test followed by CCMT counseling.
